I photographed Amanda and Brett’s wedding a few years ago, on the rooftop of the Hyatt overlooking the Arch. They are just the nicest couple, and I was so excited to photograph their maternity and newborn sessions!
Parker is a handsome little man, and he kept on my toes for his photo shoot. He must have been excited about it…because this dude did not want to go to sleep :) We cooed and rocked and warmed him up, but he wasn’t having it! The little guy was definitely happiest when mommy and daddy were holding him….who can blame him? At the end of the day we ended up with lots of lovely images! I have several photos I love…but my favorite below shows Brett lulling Parker to sleep with some guitar tunes….Enjoy!
Hey everybody! Hope you’ve all made the transition from my old blog/website to the new blogsite! I haven’t made an official announcement (I guess “official” these days means spreading the word on facebook), because I still have a few details and galleries to add. But I believe it’s already looking fabulous and I might as well be showing it off! Now on to the show…Kelly and Mike were my first wedding of 2012! It’s still hard for me to replace the ’11 with a ’12! Going into this wedding I knew we wouldn’t have any time for outdoor portraits…so I had to think about capturing the day in a more candid manor. While I strive to have a good mix of candid and posed portraits on a wedding day, for this wedding I stayed in candid mode the entire time. And it was fun :)
Now usually in my blog posts I try to write some commentary on most photos, but for some reason I can’t do that yet on my new blog (I promise I’ll figure it out!). So today just enjoy the photos :)
Hey Kelly…I’m hoping after you see how gorgeous you looked in your dress you’ll want to take me up on a “Re-Dress” session…

Little Matthew made his arrival right before Christmas, after a looong labor for his first-time mommy! He finally did arrive safely to the relief of Sarah and Chris. Sarah is my co-worker, whose style I would describe as classic and “put-together”…and it was no different when I arrived for Matthew’s session. “Hold up–you just had a baby a week and a half ago?” You’ll notice Sarah’s style in the hand-painted artwork in Matthew’s bedroom, and the fact that we wrapped him up in one of Sarah’s many gorgeous scarves :) Enjoy viewing this cutie pie and his family!
We moved into our new home this August, and we’ve been working on making it our own ever since. When we were house-hunting, a meeting space was very high up on my list. This room used to be the formal dining room, but we have such an open floor plan (already allowing for an open living/dining space), that the formal dining room was unnecessary. Every item in this room is new/new to us. I’ve had several meetings here already and I couldn’t be happier with it!
