Wow…it’s been almost 5 MONTHS since I blogged. As all of my clients and friends know, I am having a baby. And this baby is arriving, very, VERY soon! In fact, she’s due 2 weeks from today! We are beyond excited. My focus has definitely shifted at this time away from photography and onto BABY, BABY, BABY. Don’t worry…I plan on resuming shooting this fall with family sessions and even a few weddings.
While I’ve been spending a lot of time getting ready emotionally for the arrival of our little girl, I also put a lot of effort into her headquarters :) I had SO much fun decorating her nursery, pinning idea after idea until I had a concrete vision of what I wanted. It all came together even better than I hoped, especially with the help of my hubby, who is amazing at implementing my ideas, and my friend Megan, who once again blew me away with her domestic abilities (she made my crib bedding!)
I hope you enjoy checking out our creation…and hopefully in a few weeks I will have photos to share of our little bundle of joy!

The following wedding was my last wedding of 2012, and will be my last wedding for a while as I’m having a baby in May! I think Meredith and Elliot’s wedding was the perfect way to end the 2012 season! The details were stunning, and the couple and their families were beyond accommodating (i.e. making sure me and my growing tummy stayed fed all day!) Meredith was an absolutely gorgeous bride, and the love between she and Elliot was evident during all the events of the day. Please enjoy viewing this last wedding of the year!

Carrie and Jason were married Thanksgiving weekend in New Town, St. Charles. Such a fun little area to take photos, and I love the neutral church that’s like a blank canvas. It was pretty chilly so we made our rounds quickly and then it was off to the ceremony! Carrie + Jason and an incredibly sweet couple and their day was totally focused on becoming a family and their love for each other. Enjoy!
Look for The Knot Missouri & Kansas issue out on your local news stands now! Kate + Kyle were lucky enough to have their beautiful wedding featured, which was also my first time being published in this magazine! It’s so fun seeing your work in a publication!
I feel miraculously caught up for this time of year, but a former client let me know yesterday that my blog has been suffering from a lack of posts! (Thanks Marcy!) I have lots of good stuff to show you, and still have 2 weddings to shoot over the next two weekends. Should keep everyone entertained through the holidays :)
I met the Holst family a while back at Laumeier Sculpture Park. Joe and Sarah are photographers in the area and of course it’s always nerve-wracking when another photographer chooses you to capture their family photos. Their boys were totally cute and remarkably well-behaved for 3 kiddos under 5 :) We had lots of fun exploring the park together! Enjoy!
