Gina + Nik + Baby on the way!

Gina and Nik are having a little one soon! They’ve nicknamed the baby “raisin”, as they are being surprised on delivery day :) We met up on a hot evening in my favorite spot in the park. Looking forward to meeting your little one in a few months!











Not to sound weird, but Gina has the prettiest preggo belly I’ve seen!

Meghan and Ernie + 1

A few weeks ago, Griff and I traveled to Chicago through a snow storm so that I could attend the baby shower of my wonderful college friend, Meghan. I told her that if she had a shower in December or January, I wouldn’t miss it for the world…since I miss so many things in the spring, summer, and fall with all the weddings I shoot. Anyway, we didn’t have a shoot scheduled, but when the snow fell so beautifully all of Friday night, and we came across this bridge after her shower, we had to snap a few photos. I love when random photo opportunities just fall into your lap :)

Cheesy hand-heart pose + snow = perfect.


These last two are taken in front of their condo in the city and I love them!

Yay for a snowy maternity session! Now, as for the rest of the winter, the snow can just STAY AWAY!

Meghan and Ernie, I am so excited to meet your new little one! I’ll be sure to come back in the spring!

Alissa + Jarrod…Havin’ a Baby!

Alissa and I have known each other for just over 6 years, since grad school days at SLU (did I really just say 6 years? wow!) She helped me ease back in to living in StL after my brief stint in the ‘Nati and we even worked in the same district for 3 years! Now she’s married to her wonderful hubby and having a little boy! We got together the other night at Creve Coeur Park for a few maternity photos :)

Jarrod reads the baby a Dr. Suess book at night…how sweet is that?

Whenever I shoot near the water I like doing sunset silhouettes. They seem even more appropriate for someone with a baby bump :)

Jessica’s Maternity Post!

Last week I was on spring break from the day job and felt SO lucky because I was able to get home to Ohio for Jess’s baby shower. Over the years I’ve made it known how sad it makes me when I miss events in my old friends’ lives b/c of my move to St. Louis…it felt great that she cared enough to schedule this event partially around me!
This blog post is a little different…the rule was that Jess got to pick her favorites. I don’t normally let clients make that call but she’s one of my bestest buddies so I’ll let her be the exception :)
This was NOT one she picked…but I liked it b/c it shows how much info she is squeezing into her mind currently…hehe

Okay on to the actually maternity photos! Meet my fellow Miami Alum and former roommate! We’ve had a lot of good times together over the years!
The baby’s room is so pretty. They know they are having a girl…but no name yet…
Kevin was also a big part of our fun times at Miami in the “later” years.
