I feel miraculously caught up for this time of year, but a former client let me know yesterday that my blog has been suffering from a lack of posts! (Thanks Marcy!) I have lots of good stuff to show you, and still have 2 weddings to shoot over the next two weekends. Should keep everyone entertained through the holidays :)
I met the Holst family a while back at Laumeier Sculpture Park. Joe and Sarah are photographers in the area and of course it’s always nerve-wracking when another photographer chooses you to capture their family photos. Their boys were totally cute and remarkably well-behaved for 3 kiddos under 5 :) We had lots of fun exploring the park together! Enjoy!
I had the pleasure of photographing the Schmidt family earlier this summer. They wanted to capture some fun photos of the whole family while they were all in town at the same time (part of their family lives in Australia!) We journeyed to some fun property out in Defiance for the session (love shooting somewhere different!) and the family was styled just perfectly for the occasion! Take note if you’re looking for ideas on how to style your family for your upcoming fall session!
I met the Corson Family at Oak Knoll Park last week for some fun family pictures. For the 2nd night in a row I had a 3 year old with a mind of their own :) Pictures always sound great at first, but the park holds so many other fun options (trolls, jungle gyms, fish, etc!) :) I love the interactions I captured with this family! Enjoy!
Our friends Mike and Mary have one of the most adorable babies you will ever meet. She was cute as a newborn the first time I photographed her, but now she is developing the best little personality. We shot out at Bluebird Park which just happens to be walkable from their place…what a cute spot!

Little Matthew made his arrival right before Christmas, after a looong labor for his first-time mommy! He finally did arrive safely to the relief of Sarah and Chris. Sarah is my co-worker, whose style I would describe as classic and “put-together”…and it was no different when I arrived for Matthew’s session. “Hold up–you just had a baby a week and a half ago?” You’ll notice Sarah’s style in the hand-painted artwork in Matthew’s bedroom, and the fact that we wrapped him up in one of Sarah’s many gorgeous scarves :) Enjoy viewing this cutie pie and his family!
