“We can’t take serious photos”, Emily stated to me at our pre-wedding consultation. Sometimes when I hear these kind of statements I get a little nervous. But these two rocked out their photos, even in the sticky StL humidity! Emily is the 3rd of 4 Chao sisters whose wedding I had/will have the pleasure of shooting. Pretty sure they should invite me to Thanksgiving this year? Just sayin’.

Some highlights of Emily and Tyler’s day included: Windy downpours followed by 95 degree heat, getting ready at her parents’ gorgeous condo overlooking Forest Park, A-MA-ZING florals by Thorn Studio (including a  beautiful flower headpiece), an awesome steel-drum player who played the music for the ceremony with more energy than I’ve ever witnessed, a surprise serenade from the groom, and an end-of-the-night Sno-cone truck.

And hey…the bride wore Birkenstocks (sounds like the name of a book, doesn’t it?)  Enjoy this beautiful wedding!

Courtney and Jordan were married on a perfect Saturday in June. Their ceremony was held at the always beautiful World’s Fair Pavilion, followed by a reception at the stunning Statler Ballroom at the Renaissance Grand. I was honored to capture their day.

Much of Courtney’s color scheme came to be when she found this hot pair of shoes…

Right before Christmas I shot Jenny + Matt’s wedding, the 2nd in the series of Chao sister weddings I will have the pleasure of photographing. It was a drizzly, blustery December day…not very conducive for outdoor portraits. We did what we could and grabbed some pretty images of this gorgeously dressed couple and their pinterest-worthy bridal party :) Forgetting about the weather, it was a lovely day filled with love and family. The ceremony and reception were both held at Moulin (which you may be familiar with if you’ve ever eaten at Vin de Set or PW pizza). Our day was made when we got to sample some of PW’s finest pizzas for dinner rather than eating a cold vendor meal. Shout out to Ann at Moulin for that treat!

Anywho…enjoy the images of this beautiful winter wedding! LOVED Jenny’s dress!!!!

The following wedding was my last wedding of 2012, and will be my last wedding for a while as I’m having a baby in May! I think Meredith and Elliot’s wedding was the perfect way to end the 2012 season! The details were stunning, and the couple and their families were beyond accommodating (i.e. making sure me and my growing tummy stayed fed all day!)  Meredith was an absolutely gorgeous bride, and the love between she and Elliot was evident during all the events of the day. Please enjoy viewing this last wedding of the year!

Here are some of Meredith and Elliot’s vendors for their big day!

Carrie and Jason were married Thanksgiving weekend in New Town, St. Charles. Such a fun little area to take photos, and I love the neutral church that’s like a blank canvas. It was pretty chilly so we made our rounds quickly and then it was off to the ceremony! Carrie + Jason and an incredibly sweet couple and their day was totally focused on becoming a family and their love for each other. Enjoy!
